Rustic Romance
Jeanette was married at Stoneridge Estate on Saturday 10th October. Her bouquet was made with beautiful rustic Leonidas roses, magnolia leaves and dried dodda vines. We wired some of the leaves into the bouquet upside down to blend through the velvety brown underside.

Delightful Mt Soho Wedding.
Kate was married at St Josephs Church in Queenstown on Saturday 19th September, followed by a fabulous reception at stunning Mt Soho Private Vineyard.
The Tank Room lends itself perfectly to this table design - long banquet style trestled, neatly boxed with white linen.
The Candelabras were sourced from " A Grand Affair" in Christchurch - a new decorative hire company with amazing props and decor items for hire.

The Cake was the focal point of the room - decorated with a rose topper using yummy Fuschia Pink " Gem" roses.
White Tie from Christchurch catered in true gourmet style with a sumptuous feast.
Feel free to contact us if you require contacts or have any questions regarding Venues or Suppliers we have mentioned in our posts!

Callas are Back!
The first calla lillies of the season are now on the markets, just in time for Sharon's wedding last week on Friday 18th September at Wanaka.
Her bouquet was a mass ov ivory blooms that had the slightest hint of powderpuff pink around the tips, and simply finished with folded aspidistra leaves and beargrass for movement.
For cost effective bouquets, calla lillies are the way to go - just a few stems gives maximum effect and there straight, clean stems means less treatment and processing time for the florists!
The colour range is huge - from soft ivory and creams to lemons and bright citrus yellows, rusty terracotta shades and firey oranges, pale pinks, deep pinks, mauve and lilacs, not to mention the beautiful Majestic red and deep wine / burgundy shades and of course the black callas - the darkest of purples.

Tulip Heaven.....
This stunning wedding on Saturday was held at The Lordens Penthouse Apartment.
Fantastic cocktail style event with crisp white tulips and roses and lush green foliage creating a stunning crisp spring look and feel.
The bride and the 3 bridesmaids all carried a mass of snow white tulips and folded green aspidistra leaves around the base for support. Here they are all grouped and packed ready for delivery.
Various collections of specimen leaf vases were arranged throughout the apartment, flanked by tealight votives
Focal arrangements of green Bells of Ireland, roses, tulips and monstera leaves complimented the white interior.
The stunning view over Lake Wakatipu from the Apartment.
Touch of Spice's Co-ordination made the day run smoothly as always. For more information on hiring the Lorden's Penthouse for your wedding , event, or for a luxurious stay in Queenstown you can contact events@touchofspice.co.nz
Country Charm

Linda and Simon were married on Saturday 12th September 09 in Queenstown.
Her Bouquet and her bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful combinations of standard and miniature roses and white freesias with border of ruscus leaves.
The combination of different forms of flowers from buds through to open mature blooms, tends to provide a beautiful softer country / cottagey type style.
More Beautiful Spring Weddings.........
Our lovely bride, Justine, was married on Friday in Wanaka and held her reception at "The Venue" on Orchard Rd.
Her bouquet was a simplistic mass of white gypsophila - so delicious and devine!
The handle of the bouquet was finished with our signature pearl cluster detail.
The corsages for the Mums and Nana were daintily designed with ivory rosebuds, dendrobium orchids and gypsophila and their shanks were finished with ribbon.

More details from Moody Blues...
We have had great feedback from lots of our clients regarding Kylie and Simon's February wedding that was featured recently in the Simply You Living Mag - Moody Blues - so I thought I would share some more of the detail that was not showcased in the article ( yes!.... there was more detail!......)
This is me! And at 4am in the morning, basing the centrepieces, looking rather bright eyed and excited to start the day I must say! - After a 15 hour set up on the day -the smile was just as big , however a glass of wine was to be found in my hand rather than an armful of roses and hydrangeas!!

Another last minute transformation by The Flower Room - some select flower displays, draping for the bars and elegant french daybed completed the scene for champagne and canapes.

The smaller trees at Thurlby Domain were decorated with hanging wire orbs which held groupings of white roses.

Simon Buttonhole as made with Something Special roses, dried dodda vine and silver dusty miller foliage - and complimented the brides bouquet......

Yum! I love these bouquets ! I had to construct these stunning " Chanel roses" just minutes before being delivered to the Bride as each bouquet is made by layering many rose petals around and around one central bloom. Time consuming, but certainly worth the effort. The rose shade is "Something Special" which has featured alot throughout my softer vintage inspired weddings this season. The handle was finished with a diamante brooch.
