Dreamy Queenstown Wedding...................

Thankyou so much Katrina for sending through these GORGEOUS images of your wedding flowers - it was such a pleasure in assisting you, I loved making your floral handbags and your stunning trailing bouquet! -

Stoneridge Estate was a stunning location for Katrinas wedding on the 11th March 2010.

Katrinas bouquet was a wired, trailing style that included freesias, lisianthus, roses and ruscus milano. We have certainly seen an increase in popularity over the last couple of seasons for these beautiful cascading designs.

These delightful little floral handbags were a delicious alternative to a bouquet.

YUM! This cake looks mouthwatering thanks to Sadie @ Truly Scrumptious and the gorgeous Raspberry colour toned floral decorations

Katrina wrote to us with some lovely comments about The Flower Room!
" I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for any kind of floral arrangements as she is amazing to deal with and her floral artistry is exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was conducted so professionally and exactly as it should be. I was very impressed with every aspect of her business.
We also hired beautiful candelabra and candles from Sarah and she had them delivered to the venue for us and set up. Sarah also provided the floral arrangements for the wedding cake
to match in and also rose petals for the guests to throw over us in a beautiful basket. The whole thing was just so smooth with no hassels and just exactly what a bride would want.
Thankyou Sarah! Really appreciated your attention to detail, superb customer service and your willingness to go the extra mile for us when we were in a fix.
I wish you all the best" - Katrina Weidknecht, USA.

Alexis's Autumn Celebrations

Alexis was married at St Peters Anglican Church in Queenstown to Kerian - in a traditional Scottish ceremony. The reception followed up at Skyline with a beautiful autumn themed dinner utilising candles, autumn toned flowers and foliages.

The Buttonholes were perfectly themed to the autumn style with rosehips, pieris bud and miniature oak leaves.

The bouquets were informally arranged handtied combinations of rich reds, terracottas, greens and a touch of ivory.

We detailed the napkins with oak leaves and brown ribbon and raffia

The table centrepieces include our black wrought iron candelabra with gold candles and adorned with Autumn flowers and foliages

The HUGE cake as made by Daniela at Cake Aventures European Bakery... and decorated by yours truly!

Summer Love Part 1

Well "Love" was certainly in the air this summer .... with being involved with so many weddings it left me little time to blog, so the next few posts will showcase a taste of what we have been busy with over the past season!

Unfortunately I don't have credits for all of these photos - so any photgraphers out there - please let me know if any of these are yours and I will certainly add your credentials!
